We are proud to host the 2020 Pacific Coast Safety Fest in Reno, Nevada! The event is co-facilitated by Region IX OSHA and Nevada/OSHA, and the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. Our purpose is to raise worker safety and health awareness, and to communicate best work practices in the community.

Recordkeeping Rule Seminar – OSHA 7845 (0.4 CEU’s)
This course is designed to assist employers in identifying and fulfilling their responsibilities under 29 CFR 1904 for posting, maintaining records of illnesses and injuries, and reporting specific cases to OSHA.

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to identify OSHA requirements of 29 CFR 1904 and complete new OSHA’s forms 300, 300A and 301.

Transitioning to Safer Chemicals – OSHA 7225 (0.8 CEU’s)
This course covers a proactive approach to reducing the use of hazardous chemicals in the workplace by transitioning to safer alternatives. In particular, participants will use OSHA’s seven-step substitution planning process. The course features workshops and hands-on activities with the use of various online chemical databases and tools.
