OSHA is divided into ten regions. Region IX offers authorized safety and health training in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and the Pacific Territories through four OSHA Training Institute Education Centers: California State University of Dominguez Hills, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, University of California San Diego and Western OSHA Education Center at Arizona State University.
California State University of Dominguez Hills, College of Extended Education
CSU Dominguez Hills is the only California State University to be awarded a Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Training Institute Education Center (OSHA OTIEC). We are proud to support OSHA’s mission of educating employers and workers on how to avoid workplace injuries and maintain a safe work environment.

Chabot-Las Positas Community College District
The OSHA Training Center (OTC) at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training on behalf of OSHA and has been conducting OSHA’s courses since 2008. The OSHA Training Center is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and specializes in delivering OSHA’s safety training courses in construction, maritime, and general industry throughout California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Guam, American Samoa and at your facility.
Students are able to earn and maintain their OSHA credentials as well as earn OTC Continuing Education Units which can be applied to many safety professional designations including the CSP, CHST, OHST and ABIH safety credentials. Our instructors are industry safety professionals who bring the latest information, experience and techniques to our state of the art classrooms and incorporate real world experiences into classroom instruction and hands-on learning exercises.

The UCSD OTIEC is part of UC San Diego Extension, which has served as a premier source of lifelong learning for adults seeking professional and personal growth for nearly five decades. Currently, Extension educates over 22,000 professionals annually in more than 4,600 courses and over 80 certificate programs including the multi-track Professional Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
The UCSD OTIEC has consistently provided quality, innovative and cutting edge occupational safety and health construction and general industry standards based education and training since 1992 when it was chosen as one of the original four OSHA Training Institute Education Centers. In addition to the U.S. Department of Labor OTIEC courses, Extension has a long history of providing courses in safety and health management and training, hazardous waste management and emergency preparedness.

Arizona State University’s Western OSHA Education Center is housed in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE), a part of ASU’s Fulton Schools of Engineering, one of a network of OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Centers established by the U.S. Department of Labor.
We are an OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center, part of a National network of nonprofit organizations operating under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor deliver occupational safety and health training to private and public sector personnel, organizations and agencies.
